Teriyaki Salmon with Stir-Fried Vegetables

Ingredients:

  •          200g of salmon fillet
  • ·         2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • ·         1 tablespoon of honey
  • ·         1 tablespoon of mirin
  • ·         1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • ·         150g of broccoli
  • ·         100g of bell pepper
  • ·         100g of carrot
  • ·         1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • ·         Salt to taste
  • ·         Pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  •          Frying pan
  • ·         Spatula
  • ·         Measuring cups
  • ·         Knife
  • ·         Cutting board

Instructions:

  •          In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, mirin, and sesame oil to create the teriyaki sauce.
  •          Place the salmon fillet in the bowl and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  •          While the salmon is marinating, wash and chop the broccoli, bell pepper, and carrot into bite-sized pieces.
  •          Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  •          Add the marinated salmon fillet to the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and caramelized, basting with the leftover sauce.
  •          Remove the salmon from the pan and set aside.
  •          In the same pan, add the chopped vegetables and stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  •          Season the vegetables with salt and pepper to taste.
  •         Serve the teriyaki salmon on a plate with the stir-fried vegetables on the side.
